Great responses to the call for award nominees, everyone. Keep the submissions coming. At this rate, our formal awards post (Ha! "Formal"...as if.) will have to be a "best of the nominations" compilation. No one's even put forward a Best Prospect Injury yet. (I know, so many to sift through.)

As to the game, well this is the game. Or the game thread. I'm surprised by how excited I am about this one; apparently, the incentive for victory is stronger than your run-of-the-mill, wind-down-the-season game. Looking for a response here from the Islanders in a game with huge stakes for the opposition.

Finally, check out Fornabaio's update today from Rhett Rakhshani's first Bridgeport practice. Sounds like he may debut tomorrow rather than Saturday. But better than that, there are some good "at the rink" tales involve the newest Islander and rapport with guys like Matt Martin, who, I quote: "(pretty much fought everybody who didn’t immediately leave the ice after practice)." Fun stuff.
