Tonight, like every NYI-NYR home-and-home, begins a 30-hour stretch in which the irrational but oh-so-addictive emotions we attach to fandom can inflate us to new highs, sink to familiar lows, or just do the old 50/50 wash of "at least we got a few points." Battle of New York, baby.
Our FIG (First Islanders Goal) pool in the preview was one of the bestest in the history of ever. Lots of broad selections, meaningful times -- and everyone most of you responding to the same FIG sub-thread! Nice. The book-keepers are happy.
