Rhett Continues To Rakh!
If there is someone that is going to miss Josh Bailey when he returns to the Islanders, it's going to be Rhett Rakhshani. The youngster's sudden offensive explosion is tied in with Bailey's Bridgeport stint. In the 19 games without Bailey he had 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points in 19 games. In the 10 games since Bailey joined BP Rakh has 5 goals and 11 assists for 16 points. Rakh is also on a 6 game point streak in which he has at least 2 points. With 28 points he leads Bridgeport in points and has nearly doubled the next closest person, David Ullstrom at 16 points. He not only continues to lead all AHL Rookies in points, but is 16th overall in the AHL in points.
Bridgeport split their games this week. They lost to Springfield 6-3 in a game whose final score looks closer then it was. Mikko Kosikinen gave up 4 goals on 19 shots and got pulled for Nathan Lawson. Jeremy Colliton [Bailey, Rakhshani] Bailey [Rakhshani, Colliton] and Micheal Haley [Ullstrom, Motherwell] scored for BP. Josh Bailey got third star of the night. Last night Bridgeport beat down Worcester 7-2. Haley, Hisey and Robin Figren took 1st, 2nd and 3rd stars respectively. Another strong performance by Kevin Poulin who had 30 saves on 32 shots. With a .934 Sv% and 2.08 GAA Poulin leads all BP goalies, and is 6th leaguewide in SV% and 8th in GAA.

The Oshawa Generals are not only struggling with Calvin De Haan away at Team Canada Camp, but after a trade for Rangers Prospect Dan Maggio [Story] they are carrying too many 20 year olds. That is why Tony DeHart was scratched for a game last week and he was once again a healthy scratch for a game this week. In two games DeHart finished scoreless and -2, mostly due to a -3 game last night in a 7-5 loss for Oshawa.
Casey Cizikas is also at Team Canada camp.

Clarkson had a game this week, Cody Rosen did not play.
No Roundup for 12/26 for obvious reasons. Next update either 1/2 or 1/3 depending on how much I drink.
Also wanted to credit Prospect Park with the story behind DeHart's sudden benching. They update almost daily on Islander and Ranger prospects.
