Rookies, they slump: Victor Hedman will be a healthy scratch tonight for Nate Thompson's new team. To make room for Thompson, the Lightning returned 19-year-old James Wright to juniors.
Enforcers, they fade: You may have heard, Georges Laraque has been, uh, what do you call it? Not cut, not waived (he has a no-move clause), not suspended...the Habs have made him an un-person. He stays on their roster though, meaning they are now effectively limiting themselves to 22. [lots of audio here] Can you believe Bob Gainey gave a guy like that a three-year deal with a no-movement clause?
Reporters, they speed: Not much from the Panthers' side, so I got a kick out of their beatwriter driving from Newark to Uniondale "in record time." He did not list his time, so feel free to call his bluff. My vehicle is four-cylinders and like me is five states away, so I won't be entering that grand prix.
