A few Lighthouse Hockey links to peruse for possibilities or preserve for posterity...
Island Drinks
- Tiger Track Tom is heading to D.C. to lobby for stimulus funds for a standalone Coliseum renovation (I kid, I kid!). Which means {drum roll, please} Official's Outlook Doug will be doing the official site game recap tonight. I command you to give Doug hell.
- Did we mention the Lighthouse Project? Nick nicely laid into Kate Murray and surrounding insanity -- in a, you know, civil way.
- Logan on tanking (injuries edition) ... and Logan on, well, tanking.
- Botta theorizes on what
Maple Leafs-caliberundrafted college players are after, and puts the odds on Matt Gilroy heading toward Toronto, too. I know there's a lot of hype, but I think the Isles should open up the vault here. Advance the rebuild.
- Remember Gerard Gallant? "Reassigned" and what-not? He's looking for work.
League Lushes
- Jeff Carter got his first career hat trick against Toronto in a wild 8-5 win. Which is kind of funny because if Thomas Kaberle had waived his no-trade, then ... never mind.
- Tonight's opponent lost in OT to
Zach PariseNew Jersey last night [Raw Charge] - Your daily dose of Redden schadenfreude. [Blueshirt Banter]
- Lotta issues floating around the ol' Wild's head, here. That Clutterbuck sounds like a keeper, though.
- Something all fans should remind ourselves from time to time: "You're making probably thousands of decisions in a game, all relative to whether or not a foul is being committed, and you're doing it at high speed. I think often we watch television and we think the official is watching in slow motion and watching replays. He's not."
Come back a little later for a quasi-preview of tonight's game.
