Three years after playing a seven-game series in which each game was decided by a goal -- three in OT -- Bridgeport and Wilkes Barre/Scranton seem determined to do it again. Down 2-0 after two relocated (one-goal) games at Nassau Coliseum, the Islanders' AHL affiliate Sound Tigers picked up a huge road win in Game 3 by storming back from a 4-1 deficit to win in OT, 5-4
Jon Sim had two goals, and Sean Bentivoglio got the OT winner, assisted by NHL-tested Islanders Jack Hillen and Joe Callahan.

Mario Cuomo Doesn't Want the Coyotes
In Fornabaio's Sound Tigers blog, he points to the latest Globe and Mail story about the Phoenix Coyotes' finances and prospects, as well as Tom Benjamin's breakdown of the same. One recurring phrase: "a mess."
In the G&M story, one group that Gary Bettman is said to have asked to consider purchasing the 'Yotes includes Mario Cuomo as a principal. That group, Sports Acquisitions Corp.,was "created for the purpose of buying sports properties by selling shares." Hmmm ... for fans, when an ownership group is motivated first by profits (and not by championships), I dare say it results in gallows humor.
