Encore, encore, encore! But how hard will that be? Some excellent notes from statman Eric -- the Islanders have only swept a back-to-back home-and-home with the Rangers two times in history:

The Isles swept the home in home on November 21/22, 1981 (4-3 and 7-2) and on October 19/20, 2005 (3-2 in a shootout, and 5-4).

Eric also reports that the win last night was just the second road divisional win of Scott Gordon's tenure. Pretty remarkable, albeit reflective of last year's struggles and (much) tougher divisional opponents.

As posted earlier, veterans Wade Redden and Ales Kotalik are scratched for the Rangers. Torts finally means business. Henrik Lundqvist again gets the start.

I don't need to elaborate on how sweet a home victory would taste tonight. Let's. Go. Islanders.

Prediction: Someone pisses off Tortorella.
