Odd that the Isles are on Versus three times this month -- not at all prior and not again until March 2 against ... the Avalanche? Last time on national TV, they put up a good fight in Philly. This time it's a Tuesday, the weather's awful, and the lineup has been torched by injuries; don't know how the fan turnout will be on this Toys for Tots night.

About those injuries -- they're too hard to keep track of. First Jeremy Colliton was coming up. Then he reported sick so just Ryan Walter was called up. Josh Bailey was supposed to be out, but his ankle has recovered enough(?) to have him in the lineup. I hope Bailey isn't pushing it to impress the vets in a time of need. We need his ankle more in the next five years than we need it on a cold December day for a 10-18-2 squad.
