The Sleeping Giant (a.k.a. the USA BEST HOCKEY/Canadian troll site run by Ryan Lambert and Chemmy from PPP) is making T-shirts available to support Team USA at this year's Olympics. They're running a contest right now to determine the artwork for the shirt and your's truly has two entries (choices 3 and 4 on the site).

No word on prices right now, but a portion of the money will go to the USA Hockey Foundation, which helps grow the game across the country.

Please take a moment to stop by and vote (and no, it doesn't have to be for me. All the designs are great. But I do appreciate the support). Voting will go on for about a month.

And later, pick up a shirt. The money goes to a good cause and it'll probably rankle some Canadian friends, even if they say it doesn't because it totally does.

USA 3, Switzerland 1: Assist for Streit in uneven game

Islanders defenseman Mark Streit played well for the Swiss team he captained, but it wasn't enough in their 3-1 loss to Team USA.

Kyle Okposo: Not yet an Olympian

Brian Burke named Chris Drury and Ryan Callahan to the 2010 U.S. Olympic team, while leaving off Kyle Okposo, who's frankly had a better year and is a better fit for the role.

Okposo invited to USA Olympic camp

Not a big surprise, but really cool nonetheless. Kyle Okposo is just 21, he had a solid World Championships for Team USA, and I don't think he realizes yet just how good he can be. This will only help. Congratulations to the young winger. Who scores more goals next year - Okposo or JT?
