Lotta Laviolette lovers (say that 3 times fast) among the Islanders faithful, so I thought this would be a FanShot worth highlighting in the main body here. The "one who got away" -- the only Islanders coach to leave and nab a Stanley Cup coaching another team -- is now gone, replaced in Carolina by the man he replaced. Rutherford had a much quicker trigger finger this time around... "Carolina has won just 4 of its last 10 games and sits second in the Southeast and eighth in the Eastern Conference."
