The risk when carrying just six healthy defensemen -- not that waiving Nate Thompson is a tremendous risk -- is it necessitates a roster move if something like last night happens. In the event Andy Sutton is has been suspended two games: Mark Katic was awarded a spot in the AHL All-Star game (last night), but an injury to Katic forced 2005 pick Dustin Kohn to replace him. The Isles site suggests Thompson could play in Bridgeport if (when) he clears.
