Pretty much what I figured. I've already said my piece on the situation here. So many Islanders fans predicted this. I'm not against the length on principle -- what gets me is the fact it relates to no other suspensions handed out this year except for ... another Islander's.

Jibes with my original interpretation, where I and most Isles followers fumed about how the NHL could pretend it wasn't a head hit, not to mention sneak attack.

I'm not surprised to hear Pock will be suspended. I am surprised to hear it's 5 games -- 3 more than Ruutu and 2 more than Kostopoulos. Not equating these three incidents, just wondering where in the world the rhyme and the reason comes from. Can I say again: An actual policy might be helpful? It's difficult not to see this as making an example of the no-name player on the unheralded team.
