The Islanders have recalled Matt Martin on an emergency basis due to injuries to Trent Hunter and Michael Grabner.
The deal amounts to the maximum allowed under the CBA, with a base salary of $900,000 a season and bonuses of up to $600,000 per season, meaning the contract could be worth $4.5 million.
Mikko Koskinen’s first ECHL loss comes in Game 1 at Las Vegas; he gave up five goals in a little over half the game as the Wranglers scored four goals in a little over seven minutes in the second. Game 2 is Wednesday at Vegas.
