Logan: PR man Corey Witt leaves Isles

2
"Although the Islanders' front office staff has shrunk over the course of the past year, in part, because of the economy, this was not a financial move. It's part of a restructuring process the organization is undergoing." Last year Chris Botta, this year Corey Witt. Another Islanders blogger enters the realm? (Speaking of blogging, Witt's entry yesterday did not sound like it came from a man who knew this move was coming.) Generally speaking, I try to keep my inferences of organizational intrigue to on-ice product moves. But as a team blogger and a PR industry vet, the way this club communicates to its publics will always interest me. That Wang's son-in-law Chris Dey manages things, and suggested Chris Botta start the Point Blank blog after he "mutually parted," sure as hell adds some intrigue. I'd love to see the organizational restructuring/communication plan myself. With all the franchise-altering moments in the year ahead, I'm sure we'll be hearing more speculation about how things are run on the inside.
