The New York Islanders have apparently canceled plans to hold 2010 training camp in China, which may be a blessing to the players who faced the prospect of preparing for an NHL season half way around the world.

Charles Wang's decision to hold Islanders training camp in China is good for global hockey relations, not so good for the team.
