Martin Frk is supposed to be a Halifax Moosehead after going 3rd overall in the CHL Import Draft... right? Not so fast, according to his Czech club, HC Energie Karlovy Vary. Frk remains in Montreal training, but his situation is in dispute, not unlike Kirill Kabanov's situation last year. Hat tip to Neate Seager at Buzzing the Net on this one.

From the ChronicleHerald's Glenn MacDonald: (Florida's David) Brine, who has been with the Panthers at their training camp in Port Hawkesbury since Saturday, is excited to return to the downtown arena he once called home. "It’ll be awesome," said the 24-year-old Brine, who collected 198 points in three seasons with the Mooseheads, including 100 points in his final QMJHL season in 2005-06. "I played three years of major junior there. It’s a special spot for me. But I won’t have time to reminisce."
