Unbe-f-ing-lievable. Apparently the Rangers will get the compensatory pick for not being able to sign a deceased person who is, by my understanding, neither "an unrestricted free agent" nor "eligible for the entry draft." But the NHL has lots of funny, obscure rules. Glen Sather must've delivered one helluva presentation. The Palm Isle has a very amusing quick take.

First, I'm thrilled that Glen Sather is still there -- I love what he's done with the Islanders' biggest rival. Second, I love that Leafs blog Pension Plan Puppets had this title for their a.m. recap of last night's OT win over the Rangers -- posted well before news broke. That's two coach's scalps for the Leafs this season.
