HNIC's Elliotte Friedman says he heard something similar, and goes into a proposed rationale here. I read this link to the Columbus Dispatch on Kuklas' Korner today and thought it might be of interest. Not only would Snow be insane for making this offer, Howson should be immediately relieved of his duties if he didn't accept the offer. Columbus could have had 13 picks in this year's draft.
