No respect for the Islanders' dynasty at the HHOF ceremony. They painstakingly showed pretty much every handshake between inductees and past honorees. I was looking forward to seeing Jimmy D shake hands with one of his favorite picks, Bryan Trottier toward the end. But they panned away just before it happened. A Rodney Dangerfield moment.
The New York Islanders win their second consecutive Stanley Cup, defeating the upstart Minnesota North Stars. Bedlam ensues. Butch Goring wins the Conn Smythe.
