In his first game for VSV, Michael Grabner scored once shorthanded and had an assist (+1) in a 4-3 victory over Dornbirn. The video shows all of this and a breakaway (no goal) as well as an interview at the end (glad that they won, that he meshed well with the team, and his goal and assist are the "bonus").
Here is the scoresheet.

Of course he has been receiving ample attention in his home country's press over the past couple of weeks. In this interview (in German, of course) he talks about:
- Being thankful for his "speed genes" (as reflected in the headline)
- Being thankful to the Islanders for the opportunity to play, and wanting to remain with the team
- Enjoying the relative quiet of Long Island, and only having gone to Manhattan once (maybe we shouldn't take that literally)
- And not being sure about playing for Austria in May since he is expecting his first child in March (and because you can't rule out the playoffs yet!)
