The Eye Test: 5 uneducated predictions for the New York Islanders 2014-15 season

Hop on board, boys. - Bruce Bennett

The twitters of most of the Islander's players have been pretty tame these past 4-5 weeks and I'm growing anxious not having any fan posts to post so I'm throwing this new idea out there.

Think of it as the anti-Garik. A place to voice our opinions free from the ever-watching spreadsheet. Even the stat minded of us cannot escape the allure of our eyes, the gut instinct, the hopes we pretend are the truth, the baseless predictions that make a fan a fan.

So depending on response I'm thinking maybe once/twice a week depending on how good I am at thinking up topics (not very good at all) and depending on how active/inactive player's twitters are during the season.

So without further Ado. Adieu. A due?

So without further introduction.

Predictions for the upcoming season: A triumph in five acts

1) A divide grows between Garth Snow and Jack Capuano over roster decisions resulting in a coaching change mid-way through the season regardless of the team's standing.

2) Islander's defense grows as a young unit. Travis Hamonic heralded as a leader on and off the ice.

3) We don't make any trades until the deadline where Garth pulls off a blockbuster deal. Garth quoted as saying "The mandate from Charles was to give the fans what the deserve and get deep into the playoffs. The time to be happy about being a playoff team is over. We want to be Stanley Cup contenders."

4) There is a new NHL hit leader. It will not be Matt Martin this year.

5) Michael Dal Colle plays an NHL game before being returned to juniors.

So LHH'rs. I would like to hear your top 5 uneducated predictions! Have at thee!
