WHY RDP will NOT be bought out THIS year

A) He maybe involved in a trade whereas someone else needs a buyout. B) Why commit to making him a free agent for x millions when you can legit give him 1 last chance to rehab? At this time next year, the difference between buying him out now or on July 1 2014 is what 1.4 million? Would any businessman be willing to gamble 1.4 million to save 30? Letting RDP start for BP or even on the Isle (with a VERY short leash) actually makes BUSINESS sense. Of course, this conversation is completely different on July 1, 2014, but, right now, buying out RDP (when we have requirements for cap floor) and we don't need to buy out RDP quite yet, then why the heck would anyone do it? To save a mill and change in today's NHL? and when you consider that would be 1 year off the contract at two thirds, then actually buying out RDP next year actually will save the team cash, so, RDP isn't being bought out this year. It makes no sense.
