PLAYOFF-BOUND: New York Islanders Clinch.

USA TODAY Sports

Home, home again.

We got playoffs.

WE GOT PLAY-OFFS.

WE-GOT PLAY-OFFS!

WE-GOT PLAY-OFFS.

The New York Islanders tied their game in Carolina with just over a minute to go in regulation, ensuring one regulation point.

Shortly afterward, the Washington Capitals iced their home victory over the Winnipeg Jets. That combo ensured the Islanders are making the playoffs for the first time since 2007. It also means the two fresh clinchers might even face each other. But we'll worry about that later.

The video below is nearly two years old now, but Samantha on YouTube did a fantastic job with it, it garnered thousands of views when it first launched, and it's frankly a fitting snapshot of what so many of us have been through leading up to this point.

The Islanders are leaving Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum within a couple of years, but before they do they're going to let the old barn have playoff hockey again:

This is your celebration thread. Enjoy.
