From Goat to Hero?

I am going to make this post very short because I am curious about what other Islander fans think?

Late in the third period yesterday against The Jets, the Islanders held a 4-3 lead with just over 2 minutes left in the game. With the Jets entering the Islanders zone, Visnovsky takes a very bad interference penalty cutting off the offensive players route(a new rule this year). The Jets then take a gamble on the ensuing power play with an offensive zone draw, they pull their goaltender and score a couple seconds later. Instead of two points, the Islanders head into OT with only one guaranteed point. Visnovsky now the goat!

In OT with the Jets attacking again, a nice pass to the point man in the slot results in a post by the Jets. With Nabokov down, the rebound comes right to the Jets and with an open net the Jets seem to have the game won. With a last ditch effort to save the second point, Visnovsky drops down into the butterfly in the crease and makes a huge save with Nabokov down.

Visnovsky single handedly gave away one point to the Jets, but at the same time single handedly saved the second point for the Islanders. Visnovsky kept the game going and gave the chance at that second point in a shootout. Boyes and Tavares did not disappoint and gave the Islanders a much needed second point.

With yesterday's win, one more win and/or OT or shootout loss and a Jets loss will clinch a playoff birth for the 1st time since 2007.

Is Visnovsky a goat or a hero? In my eyes a hero yesterday!!!! Every player makes mistakes but not many defenseman would have the instinct or guts (Hamonic and MacDonald Definitely) to make that save in the crease.
