I know we've had more votes and referendums on what the goal song should be than all 29 other teams combined, but I think the Isles' soundtrack is lacking. For the record, I was a big fan of 'Live is Life' as a goal song. I thought it was a cool, unique, and fun goal song for the boys.
Now, we have the most generic of songs for the team when they step on the ice, score, or scored on.
I thought it would be fun to see what everyone here in this community thought should be the staples. What songs should we use for:
1. When the Islanders take the ice?
2. When we score? (Woo!)
3. When they score? (S**t!)
I've written in here before about my love for Everton Football Club. At EFC they have a long standing tradition that the team walks out to the same song every game. Its not the most amped up tunes you'll ever hear -- but it's a cool tradition.
For us, I'd love to hear a song from 1972 for when we first step out. I think that would be a cool way to subtly pay homage to this franchise's beginnings. So that's why I chose 'Burning Love' by Elvis Presley.

For our goal song, I say it now and I say it again -- we had it right with Live Is Life -- but since Zenon Konopka took his talents elsewhere, I'd feel like I was stealing from him if I picked the Opus Jam again. So I went with:
Maxine Nightingale - Right Back Where We Started From (via chinita41)
For the song to be played right after we let in a goal -- I thought this was a whimsical way to go about it:
The Black Keys - Tighten Up [Official Music Video] (via theblackkeys)
Like I said, I know we go through this way too much, but I hate how this team doesn't try and establish a different precedent from other organizations with the little things, like game experience.
So, this is a judgment free zone -- obviously -- so just post what you think and let's have some fun with this one.
