The Single Most Frustrating thing about watching the Islanders is watching Nabokov as Goalie give up such lame goals and essentially give up games. You can't expect the Isles to Score 5 or 6 goals a game to win!
Tonight is a great example:
Islanders outshooting The Senators 37 Shots to 17 in the 2nd Period - but they trail 4 to 2. What at joke! Two of these goals are were just plain pathetic!
What is stopping them from giving the kid - Poulin a chance? Is he the future or not? I would certainly feel much better about watching an upcoming goalie struggle and take his mistakes in stride while he learns his way at the NHL level and builds his confidence in process.
Poulin played a great game against the Chicago Blackhawks and then...well...nothing more. Doesn't seem fair especially given that Nabokov has been so sub-par and downright frustrating to watch.
Its time to Play Poulin and Bench Nabokov!
