When the NHL and NHLPA ended their bloodfeud on Sunday morning, fans immediately began making their demands on how they can be enticed to forgive and forget and move on.
The most common suggestion is for fees to be lifted on NHL Center Ice and Gamecenter. Both would be welcomed by fans but it seems unlikely that it will happen. For more on that check out SBNation's Steve Lepore's piece found here.
So I thought instead of going that route, why don't the NHL and NHLPA go in a slightly different direction and offer us something special. More 24/7 style programming.
It doesn't have to be HBO, although that would be great, but I'm talking inside access, player mics, behind the scenes at the trade deadline, training camp, the draft, the winter classic, and so on.
This will be a win-win for the league and the PA. It will quell the contentions of the fans, as well as help the league and players become more likable and increase visibility and marketability. Something that needs to happen now that the NHL has screwed the pooch again.
