Sharks are in a similar situation in the west.

San Jose has offered Marc-Edward Vlasic, their 2013 1st round and 4th round picks for Mark Streit. Streit is set to go UFA at the end of the season. Vlasic is RFA and will end up making about what Streit makes now. Vlasic is 10 years younger than Streit.
