He says that it will be something they are going to seriously look in to. The idea of Brooklyn as a perminant/temporary home for the isles seems to be growing every day. Howie Rose was interviewed and said that the decision for a new arena can very well be decided and agreed upon in spring 2014 and the isles would play past the lease just like the penguins did. Everyone said the penguins would leave. They were in the same position as the islanders then. They were rebuilding, they had arena troubles. But they got it done. Howie Rose sees this to be a very possible scenario Also, there was an article in newsday talking about knocking down the buildings at Pilgram State. In my opinion, that is the perfect spot for an arena in suffolk. All in all I hope that they stay on long island.
