UPDATE: Official announcement here. Fornabaio says they're also promoting Bridgeport video coach Matt Bertani. [Cue "WHen will they get a REAL NHL video cowch?!?] A young coach on the rise, Thompson was the head coach of the Islanders AHL affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2011-12.
