Similar to last year, there is little consensus about this year's draft beyond the first pick, with even that in dispute. Rather than try and read the tea leaves as to who goes where, let's see who everyone here really wants to see putting on an orange and blue jersey on draft day.
So for fun, let's all play Garth Snow and drink beer with college girls put together our draft boards for the first pick. Assuming that anyone could potentially be available to the Isles at #4, two questions:
What player do you most hope becomes an Islander on June 22? (answer in the poll)
Who are your four best players in this draft? In other words, list your top four players in order so that you are prepared to take the best player available decided no matter how the first three picks go. For example, if he was available I'd take Yakupov, but if he is picked I'd take Murray, and if they were both picked, I'd take Galchenyuk, and if none of them were available I'd take Forsberg.
The poll incules the top 10 from Derek Zona's Consensus Top 100 (plus Cody Ceci for JP).
For further reference here is the official NHL rankings, the TSN Draft Centre [sic] which includes McKenzie and Button, and Corey Pronman's from Hockey Prospectus. The Consensus Top 100 has links to even more if you have a serious problem that requires psychological help need more information.
