Brooklyn has been waiting for a sports team since the Dodgers left in 1957. Born and raised in Brooklyn, you can tell the Borough has been hungry for a sports team. While I do follow basketball and am extremely excited that the Nets are moving to the Barclays Center, I've always wondered about Brooklyn getting a hockey team. The last time Brooklyn had a hockey team was the Brooklyn Americans which shared the old MSG with the Rangers. As everyone knows following the August 1st failed arena proposal there has been speculation that the Islanders will move off of Long Island and move to Brooklyn. Obviously there is a lot of time between now and the day the lease of the Nassau Coliseum ends but, I do have a question for Islanders fans. At NetsDaily we've been asked about how we would like the Islanders possibly moving in with the Nets and I don't want to beat a dead horse but I was wondering how Islanders fans would feel about their team playing at the Barclays Center.
