I have been accused for being too much of a pessimist on this sight. In truth i am just a very realistic fan. For once though in my opinion the Islanders moving to Brooklyn is nothing but good news. It is not Wang's fault Nassau County politics is more corrupt than the old Tammany Hall. In truth Wang has saved this franchise. He did not give up when any other owner would have sold the team to Quebec once the Lighthouse project was squelched.

There is nothing bad for the fans about this deal.

2. Logo stays the same

3. Colors stay the same

4. They move only 25 miles away

5. Public transportation in abundance

6. State of the art new arena

7. 25 year lease

There are no excuses anymore, for why the Islanders can not bring top free agent talent to this team to take the Islanders to the next level. We have a good core of young talent but it needs to be enhanced by vets in their prime.

The future is bright for this team.!!!!!!
