1. Besides Moulson-JT-Nino and Grabner-Nielsen-Okposo lines everyone else looks like a mess.It does not seem they have a plan for the 3rd and 4th lines. What should have been done with the 3rd and 4th liners was decide at the beginning of camp who was going to be on what lines and stick to it. Give them a chance to grow and learn each others strengths and weaknesses. Not only during the games but practices they are split into different groups at different times. It just shows they do not know how to handle those 2 lines and that scares me. Lets be honest Islander fans. We all know who is going to be starting at least at the beginning of the season. Once the Islanders signed Reasoner, Rolston, and Bailey the Forwards were pretty well set. Maybe not the lines but who was going to start with the team baring injuries.Moulson-JT-Nino-Grabner-Nielsen-Okposo-Comeau-Bailey-PA-Martin-Reasoner-Rolston with Gilles as the healthy scratch. Since the Islanders were 99% sure who was going to make the squad at least out of camp then the staff should have made sure they had a plan for the 3 and 4th lines and keep them together like they are doing with JT's and Nielsen's line.
2. Why did we send our B Squad to play the Stanley Cup Champions A Squad? And why was our A Squad playing the Devils B Sqaud? How are we going to know what we have if our Bubble Guys are going against the best in the league with no chance to succeed. Yeah it was nice to see a blowout at home against the Devils but what did we learn. Absolutely nothing.
3. The goalie situation is a joke. Big deal DP played well on Saturday, but who did he play against? I would hope he could play that well against the competition he faced. What we needed was Nabokov and DP to play against the Bruins. We needed to know what we have in those 2 players. They needed to be tested and tested often. As far as I am concerned the Islanders did that on purpose to say hey look Islander Fans DP is Back. WRONG!!!
