Due to parity in the NHL, the 30 team league can loosely be divided into three parts...
Top 10 teams are generally teams with over 100 points, who with NHL parity, are generally speaking, all cup contenders, maybe 1 or 2 players away.
Middle 10 are "bubble" teams that could make or miss playoffs depending on a number of factors - generally finishing season around 500., give or take.
Bottom 10 teams are non-playoff draft lottery teams - generally finishing season below 500. (less than 82 points)...please vote and state your rationale in the discussion section for debate...
