Apparently 23,000 people feel that 3000 jobs generated, a fledgling economy, and the sake of a legacy and long islands only true sports franchise didn't need to be saved.
Nassau County voters shot themselves in the foot here. With no colliseum, the economy in nassau and their taxes are just going to be increased anyway...but without any revenue coming back.
Our only hope now is some grace of god there is another way or Wang sells to Prokorov and brings the team to brooklyn. That I can at leaast stomach. since the new barkley center is being built to accomadate an NHL team to fit 50-60 games a yr.
What do us fans do now? still root? still spend money on merchandise for a team that may not be around in 3 yrs while another city reeps the benefits of an up and coming team? where do we go from now?
