Yashin Return?

Has anyone else heard the return of Yashin to Long Island? I know it is only a rumor right now but sometimes these actually follow through.  His agent confirmed he did receive an offer from an NHL club today but will not say from who.  I can not see anyone offering Yashin a contract.... except for maybe Wang.

Everyone know Wang loves Yashin stll does, and he is a good personality anyone will tell you from playing with him he is a good guy.  Yashin has put up respectable numbers in the KHL as well last few seasons in 56 games over two seasons he has scored 17 goals and 15 assists.  Now my understanding is because we are already paying him due to a buy out I read somewhere else is that we can just pay him as per his buy out.  Since we are already paying him 2 million and something this year (and for the next fous by the way) that is what we could sign him for and not have to take on an additional contract of his.  By this I mean we pay him only the $2 million and some not that plus whatever we would sign him for.  I am not sure about this though if anyone knows please write in comments with explanation.  But anyways, is this what Snow/Wang do because they can not get any free agents. If you read around the NHL you hear the Isles mentioned in lots of rumors, Doughty, Parise, Arnott and Langnenbrunner before they signed and so on.  Maybe everything is too expensive for Snow and free agents refuse to come here.  This is a story line we hear too often but then please offer me some explanations as to why Snow has come out publically and said he is going to get a top 4 d man and we all know he would love to add a top 6 forward as well but only has signed Marty Reasoner and we are past the middle of July now.  Please help me out in comments!

1. Can Yashin be any help to our Islanders?

2. Will Snow/Wang actually bring him back?

3. Do we have to pay him his buyout + additional contract?

4. Why has Snow not signed anyone but Marty? (besides no one will come here)
