Realignment bad for the Islanders

Anyone else not a fan of the talks about potential realignment?  From discussions out there, it appears the Red Wings and Blue Jackets might move east and the Jets would move west.  But this means that the Eastern Conference will have 16 teams and the West 14.  The Isles have enough difficulty getting into the playoffs, this only makes it harder.  Plus, we'll have to deal with the Red Wings now!  In addition, the league would create two 7-team divisions and two-8 team divisions with the top 4 teams from each division making the playoffs.

Here's an interesting article from Detroit on one proposal of what the conferences would look like.  Or you could see below.  Your thoughts?

Eastern Conference:

Northeast Division (eight teams): Detroit, Columbus, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo, Boston, Pittsburgh.

Atlantic Division (eight teams): Rangers, Islanders, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Florida.

Western Conference:

Pacific Division (seven teams): Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, San Jose, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Phoenix.

Midwest Division (seven teams): Colorado, Dallas, Nashville, St. Louis, Chicago, Minnesota, Winnipeg.
