So today my Netflix sent me a DVD that was in my queue from the Islanders Greatest Games DVD set: Game 4 of the first round series versus Toronto. This series was probably the most exciting playoff series any of my teams has played in.
I can't wait until this new Islanders team is back to the days like this, with the rally towels and the "Steve Webb" chants, etc.
Alexei Yashin just scored to make it 1-0 in the first period; they just showed highlights from 1998 of him as a star in Ottawa and spoke about it as if it was yesterday. Freaky that it's been so long...
I know Mike Milbury is arguably the worst GM in NHL history, but Mark Parrish really wasn't so bad this year. I've been impressed by his play in the corner, going up against Roberts, and his assist on the Yashin goal was sweet. Kvasha, on the other hand,...
Darcy Tucker is seriously crazy (and for that matter, so is Shayne Corson). Too bad netflix can't send game 6; I'll have to go to youtuve to watch them get KO'd.

Chris Osgood= Clutch.
Anyone else on here have any good memories from this playoff series? I remember after game 4 running into the Coliseum lobby to find my dad (I sat with my cousin and he sat with my uncle), and run into none other than Mad Mike Milbury. I waved and said "Mike! What a game!" and he just nodded and walked, looking pretty stressed for such a happy moment. Share your 2001-2002 Isles moments!!
