I was just thinking to myself and wondered what others were thinking. Just watching them play so far and looking at their roster makes me think they have what it takes head to toe to win the cup as long as rollie stays healthy:

-Hot goalie playing elite CHECK

-Forwards and d-men getting hot at the right time CHECK

-Offensive balance across the board CHECK

-Ample physicality, size, and speed across the board at forward CHECK

-Defensive size, experience, and physicality across the board CHECK

And more

Just looking at their team right now makes me think they have tremendous overall abilities and balance in their roster. Even though the west is a better conference, this lightning team is just too balanced and too deep to beat. They can score important goals with their 3rd line, 2nd line, 1st line, it doesn't matter. They can shut you down with a number of veteran and skilled 2-way/shutdown d-men: Brewer, Hedman, Ohlund, Kubina, are all big shutdown guys with a good physical presence. With Gagne and Kubina coming back rested, they are looking good.     

What do you think? I think no matter who the lightning face, they are taking the cup this year(barring a major injury to a key player).
