Biggest Surprise/Biggest Disappointment of the Season

Who exceeded your expectations and who let you down?

For me P.A. Parenteau was the biggest surprise. A career AHLer, PAP only recorded 8 points in 22 games with the Smurfs last season but found a home on the Island almost immediately. Lining up with JT and Moulson certainly helped but increasing your offensive output by 45pts is just astonishing! Had you told me PAP would score 20 goals and add 33 assists at the start of the season I would have scoffed at you but he has definitely cemented himself as a Top 6 forwards going into next year. I really hope his play carries over!

Bailey would have to be the biggest disappointment for me. He took a bit of a step back recording 28 points this season after a 35 point sophomore campaign. He started off looking great with 3 goals and 3 assists in the first 5 games but then cooled off so much that they sent him to BP for a month to find his game. I wouldn't say he played badly this season, I just thought he would produce more than he did. It seems like he has been a casualty of the the rebuild, and was forced into the NHL too soon. Hopefully the addition of Nino and/or Rakshani, with whom he showed great chemistry during his BP stint, will light a fire in him.
