Fellow Islanders fans:
As I'm a big fan of following the Islanders prospects (as you may have noticed), here's another thread concerning our prospects. Rate the five current Islanders prospects that you can't wait to see in an Islanders jersey permanently someday. Putting the one you're most excited to see as #1 and so on. Feel free to add a motivation after your ranking to get a discussion going. As a guideline for whom to include, I chose the NHL rules when it comes to rookie qualification. Players picked should therefore be able to compete for the Calder trophy if they were to play for the Islanders next season. The players included should not have been drafted later than 2006 meaning Rakhshani or Shane Sims for instance can be included. Is that how you say later than 2006? Ok, to make things even clearer, players drafted in 2005 can't be selected to the list. Puh! :)
Here's a link to the players Islanders have drafted since: Draft History
To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons (meaning Ty Wishart can be added to the list if you want to). Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie.

Have a great weekend fellas.
