Brad Richards is the perfect fit for this young hockey team!!!! The Islanders need to make an HONEST attempt to try to land this player. The Islanders have more assets than the Rangers and if Snow really has the power to add to the payroll then there should be no problem with trading for him.  The following is my reasons why he is a perfect fit:

1. He is a play making center. He can play on the 1st line and move JT to RW with Moulson on LW or Center the 2nd line Grabner and Parenteau and move Okposo back to the 1st line with Moulson and JT. Either way  we have improved our top 2 lines dramatically.

2. He is the veteran presence this team needs. He is only 30 years old and is one of the best centers in the league. He has also WON A STANLEY CUP and knows what it takes to win.

The trade proposal I would make to Dallas is conditional. We trade our 1st pick  in the 2011 draft and Josh Bailey if Brad Richards signs with the Islanders by the draft. If they do not sign him Dallas gets the Islander's 2011 2nd pick  and 2012 1st pick and Schremp, if they want him and the Islanders receive Dallas's 2012 2n. I sincerely doubt the Rangers can come up with a better deal than that for Dallas.

It is time for the Islanders to step up and make this move.
