For a couple of years Ive sat there and read all kinds of disrespect about how somehow Matt Duchene is a super star and JP somehow is a bust, Frankly they are wrong and the stats prove it

JT GP-57 G-23 A-29 Pts-52 +/- -17

Duchene GP-57 G-21 A-26 Pts-47 +/- --3

Thats by the way with JT on a less talented team and with band aids for goalies all year, never mind a 20 game loosing streak and horrible injury situation.

JT GP-139 G-47 A-59 Pts-106 +/- -32

Duchene GP-138 G-45 A-57 Pts-102 +/- --2

Note that in his first year JT had a horrendous goal drought and again a worse team (bottom 5 vs playoff team)

Im not going to do any Duchene bashing but it seems to me that JT might be outplaying him lately. So Bless the Avs for getting a good player but JP might actually be pretty good himself.
