Post-Game Plus/Minus: Refs 1, Islanders 2, Sharks 3 (OT)

Stay connected for news and updates

Feels kinda like the refs did this.

John Tavares and Michael Grabner potted powerplay goals to reverse an opening-minute Sharks lead. Logan Couture tied it at 2-2 in the second period before a scoreless third.

The referees royally screwed up an over-the-glass delay of game call in OT, putting Travis Hamonic in the box and paving the way for a 4-on-3 Sharks powerplay in OT, where Brent Burns potted the winner. Absolutely horrible, inexcusable call, made all the uglier by the concurrent scoreboard replays showing the mistake while the referees "conferenced" over their error, of which they obviously lacked the clear view. Remember the golden rule when affecting the outcomes of games: First, do no harm.

So after the in-game drama has cooled (a little), this is the spot for more sober analysis -- and less ranting about the blown call -- on the rest of the game. Your plus/minus reflection on the game that was.
