Big bruising /Aggressive
These are a few of the different styles or identities that can fit a hockey team, they’re probably a ton more. Which one would describe the Islanders?
My point is this: This team does not have an identity.
They had one last season for the final third. The Islanders were almost “must” watch hockey. They would play loose, score goals, and if you tried to take any liberties, they would automatically drop the gloves. Bodies were flying as they finished checks. Not with love taps but with meaning. They didn’t back down.
This year I have watched every game:
What is the identity?
I’m not disappointed with the team, but having Haley and Dibo might actually create a spark that to me is sorely needed and give them their identity back (if they ever wanted it). I know it would get people talking again about the team
Just a thought
