With all due respect too Ray Bourque...Barry Melrose states He couldn't ignore Paul Coffey's stats and cup wins. Well...didn't Potvin win 4 cups compared to Bourque's 1? 5 trips to the finals, all those series wins in a row compared to Bourque's 2 trips and countless yrs of futility in Boston?
Potvin's stat line: Games:1060 Goals:310 Assists:742 Tp:1052 Cup wins: 4
Bourque's: Games:1612 Goals:410 Assists:1169 Tp:1579 Cup Wins: 1 (barely)
You compare the two in the playoffs, Potvin has more points and 20 less games while Bourque played just over 5 more seasons
