Preliminary WJC Analysis
We still have the USA-Sweden and Canada-Russia tilts to go, but I feel safe in saying the following: Casey Cizikas has been the best of the four Islander prospects in the tourney. Not that NN, CDH, or BN have been bad. Nino, in particular, had his moments. But CC has been the most consistent and valuable contributer to his team. Finally, I have not yet seen Larsson's performance against Russia today and I don't know obviously what he and Couturier will do in their last game. It is fair to say, however, that no 2011 draft-eligible player has stood out in the way that Nino did last year or JT two years ago. It is also fair to say that both Larsson and Couturier, while not dominant in this tourney, have shown the talent that earned them consideration as the #1 overall pick this year. Needless to say, Landeskog's absence is a disappointment.

Cool. I'm so pissed Landeskog is hurt. I really wanted to see how he looked.
John Tavares=The Franchise, The Future, and still only 20yrs old, SO GIVE HIM SOME F**KING TIME TO MATURE CRITICS! Not everyone is Wayne Gretzky(although Tavares did break some of his records....tee hee)
