In my eyes, it looks like Parenteau or Nino will be taking the last top 9 spot (most likely on the nielsen/hunter line for the season's start) if Garth doesn't sign any more nhl forwards that can solidly put up 30pts/season with some upside. This is a really interesting discussion in my eyes because, is it time to force an 18yr old like nino into the pros because he has the tools, has a great nhl mind, is looked upon becoming a potential nhl superstar one day, and has overcome every obstacle he's been presented so far? Or is it time to give a man who has played most of his career in the ahl, while having many season's where he put up more then 1pt per game and his brief stint in the nhl showed he is an nhl ready guy that should be a solid and responsible 20pt+ player AT MINIMUM, with the potential to be this year's matt moulson and could put up a 40pt season if everything goes right and he takes the next step in his development? Interesting dilemma.
Discuss. I am interested in where this argument will go.
