Rule Changes RDO Camp...Great Discussion Topic

Hello Gang....This is my First FanPost but I really liked something that I thought everyone else would as well.

Read this article when you get a chance…The NHL is having their RDO (Research and Development) Camp this week.  They invite Junior prospects to the camp and they play games while the NHL tests new potential rule changes…some of the changes are pretty radical while others are more conservative (smaller changes). A GREAT DISCUSSION TOPIC!!  There is a diagram of what the ice would look like if all of the changes were implemented.

I like a few of the changes: particularly the decreasing of the net size, the thickening of the Blue Line and maybe some modifications to some Overtime Stuff (i.e. Goalies change ends to therefore lengthen the changes for the overtime and potentially create more scoring changes).  I think if they lengthened the overtime period to 9-10 minutes that would be really nice.  Shootouts have some nice aspects but are better off avoided...I don't like season's being decided on them (as they did this season with the Rangers and the Flyers).
